June 8 is World Oceans Day, and honestly, you’d think that something that covers 71% of the planet would have more than one day devoted to it. If you happen to live near an ocean, today is a fine day to go jump in it, or lie near it, or whatever you like to do with your oceans. It’s also an excellent day to remember not to pollute it, and indeed to take any measures you can to avoid having garbage (especially plastic) that you create make its way to the ocean. There’s quite enough of it there already.
