Residents of Orcas Island might soon see Oprah around. The 64-year-old mogul has purchased a home on one of the largest of the San Juan Islands, which are in the northwestern corner of Washington state, for $8.275 million. Oprah's new digs include a main house, a guest house, a gazebo, a barn, a shed, and even a sauna.
The 7,000-square-foot main house has three stories with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and the details are truly stunning. Hardwood floors, exposed-beam ceilings, a charming staircase, and bookshelves galore — we feel cozy just looking at it! The guest house has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, and while it's smaller in square feet, it's perched high on a cliff above a beach (not too shabby). There's also a pizza oven, because what luxury home is complete without one?
Oprah's island property sits on more than 40 acres and was built in 2007, Curbed Seattle reports. The Super Soul Conversations host and inspiring-speech giver will likely spend some time relaxing in her latest secluded property but will not live there full time. A Windermere Real Estate spokesperson confirmed to POPSUGAR, "Oprah purchased the home as an investment property but does not currently have intentions of living there."
