Iggy Azalea Opened Up About The Recent Back Surgery Complications That Left Her Immobile For Weeks

Iggy Azalea gave her fans a health update as she continues to recover from back surgery and apparently the recovery process wasn't as easy as she'd hoped.

Early Monday morning, the Australian rapper took to Twitter and revealed in a series of tweets that she underwent a "mundane surgery" that eventually turned into her being bed-ridden for weeks.

Iggy admitted that she had surgery on her back after experiencing issues while touring for two consecutive summers.

It didn’t end up being very mundane because I had complications with my recovery & ended up in bed hooked up to a million machines and in so much pain there are about 3 days I actually just can’t remember at all.

This made the recovery process even harder. Iggy said the only time she left the bed and physically walked was "to use the bathroom." She was surprised just how "weak" her body became being immobile.

After receiving the "all clear" from her doctors a week ago, Iggy was advised she can "start moving again." The "Kream" rapper hopes to be healed by Christmas.

It’s been very mentally challenging to suddenly not be able to do anything for yourself and have no answers about when you will recover. That was the hardest part but all the Drs have been so happy with how quickly I’m getting better now that I’m back moving & walking.

Iggy hopes her experience helps people understand how important it is to "pay attention to what your body is telling you."

She plans to update fans on her recovery progress in the weeks to come.
