I am no stranger to furniture assembly. As someone who's moved more than a handful of times, I've learned to accept that building new furniture comes with the territory. I've assembled couches, tables, chairs, and plenty of bed frames. Too many, if I'm being honest. Bed frames have become the bane of my existence due to their incredibly complex assembly, and with my most recent bed frame's support beam breaking in half, that dreaded feeling took over — I had to build another one. Rather than doing what I normally do and hopping on Amazon or Home Depot's website for an inexpensive one, I decided it was time I invest in a quality bed frame with rave reviews. After doing some research, I settled on the Casper Upholstered Platform Bed Frame ($595–$695), and I'm so happy I did.
What I Like About the Casper Upholstered Bed Frame
In my search for a new bed frame, my three requirements were to find something that was easy to build, had a solid construction, and was affordable. My biggest mistake in the past was that I'd buy cheap bed frames that were hard to assemble and would break on me in a year's time. This time I wanted it to be different, and I can confidently say this Casper bed frame met my expectations. It took me no more than 30 minutes to put it together by myself, it had easy-to-follow directions, and its one-tool assembly worked for the whole thing. It was the smoothest process I've had building a bed frame thus far, and I'm forever grateful to Casper for making it so easy.
Another awesome note about this bed frame is that it's solid. The bed frame is made out of steel, so I have no fears of splintering wood or its support beam breaking on me. It doesn't move like my previous bed frames would do, either. This bed frame stays in place, is quiet, and is truly a dream to sleep on. I also appreciate its two-inch ledge, which allows the ideal amount of space for me to rest my feet.

What's Worth Noting About the Casper Upholstered Bed Frame
As great as this bed frame was to build, its 100-pound box took a team of people to get up my stairs. Not only that, but the box was super long and hard to maneuver around a narrow hallway. This all can be expected with bed frames, but if you're not prepared to have help moving it into your bedroom, it can be a challenge to recruit people. Trust me, I tried numerous times — no one wants to move a heavy long box up a narrow hallway (although I ultimately did find help). However, if your bedroom is on the bottom floor, you can slide the box easily.
Who Is the Casper Upholstered Bed Frame Best For?
If you live alone or don't want to search for help building a bed frame, this one is for you. Yes, you may need help physically getting the box into your bedroom (like me), but I assembled it by myself using one tool, and it was a breeze. Also, its minimalist design goes great with multiple decor schemes, making it an easy fit for almost any space.
Is the Casper Upholstered Bed Frame Worth the Splurge?
Absolutely. For $595 (for a queen), you get an easy-to-assemble bed frame that's solid, quiet, stylish, and will last you years to come. I'm so impressed with mine, and I imagine anyone who buys it to feel similarly.
