Despite Saying She Doesn't Want Her Kids To Model, Brooke Shields Supports Her Daughter Grier Henchy's Modeling Dreams

“I never did runway. I don’t think I would’ve been able to handle it.”

It looks like Brooke Shields' 17-year-old daughter Grier Henchy will soon be following in her famous mother's footsteps.

Brooke shared on LIVE with Kelly and Mark about how Grier wants to start a modeling career of her own.

"She's doing little things here and there," Brooke shared, but that Grier has to wait until she's 18 to fully dive into it, to which Brooke added, "I'm just so happy about that."

Brooke famously started out in the industry as an infant and modeled for Calvin Klein jeans at just 15 years old.

“I fought it for so long,” Brooke admitted to Kelly and Mark. “It’s so much faster now. We didn’t have social media when I was a model.”

Brooke revealed Grier aspires to become a runway model, which is different from Brooke's modeling experiences. She shared that runway modeling can be "brutal," adding, "I never did runway. I don't think I would've been able to handle it."

Despite initially being against Grier's career of choice, Brooke gave in with some rules in place. "A) I'm not gonna be your manager. You're going to be with an agency," said Brooke. Secondly, Brooke continued, "You are gonna have a great work ethic. It's not going to be comfortable and you're gonna listen to me. Those are my rules," before adding her last note, "And, you're going to college."

"It's what she's really passionate about," said Brooke and praised her daughter, "She's ridiculously stunning."
