You've just finished eating a delicious meal, and now you're in the mood for something sweet. You make your way to the kitchen, open up the freezer, and hope a tub of ice cream will magically appear, even though you already know you never bought any. You contemplate eating the banana on the counter that's about to turn brown, then decide against it in favor of a handful of chocolate chips. If you have a sweet tooth, this scenario probably sounds familiar. Sometimes you're in the mood for dessert, but just aren't in the mood to bake anything from scratch or go out to the store to get something. That's where these chocolate-covered yogurt clusters come in. Made with only three ingredients, the TikTok-viral recipe comes together relatively easily, yet still manages to satisfy a hankering dessert craving.
Many different variations of chocolate-covered yogurt bites are currently being shared across the app; however, the trend originally started when people began recreating Costco-favorite Tru Fru at home. The popular frozen snack, which, as it turns out, is fairly easy to replicate, consists of berries and vanilla yogurt inside a hard chocolate shell.
Judging by the TikToks, the most popular flavor of Tru Fru is strawberries with dark chocolate, but the recipe works with any fruit, yogurt, and chocolate combo. If you're not a huge chocolate person, I recommend using peanut butter chips instead and pairing it with apples, vanilla yogurt, and a dash of cinnamon. I also tried raspberries with white chocolate, as well as everyone's go-to strawberries and dark chocolate, and all the combinations ended up being pretty tasty.
@bearengerThese lil bites are magic!!!
